MANKAR COLLEGE(Affiliated to the University of Burdwan)

The College has introduced the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) as per the instruction of the Burdwan University from the session  2017-18. As per the norms of the CBCS the three year degree course is divided into six semesters. Apart from the Honours subject an Honours student will choose one Discipline Specific Elective (DSE) course and one Generic Elective (GE) from a pool of subjects offered. She/he will have to pursue AbilityEnhancement Courses, consisting of two types - Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC) and Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC).AECC includessubjects like ENVS, MIL or English and are mandatory for all disciplines. AGeneralstudent for Arts, Science and Commerce will have one Core Course of 12 papers, 4 core papers each in 3 disciplines of choice.2 Elective courses of 6 papers with DSE and GE. Ability Enhancement Courses AECC and DSE leading to three year Bachelor Degree in the first discipline.

Honours in nine subjects --English, Bengali, Geography, Political Science, History, Hindi, Sanskrit, Philosophy and Santali.

B Com:: Honours :
Honours in Accountancy.

B.Sc :: Honours:
Honours in Computer Science and Mathematics.

Elective Combination is designed within the discipline.
